Wiebke Steinmetz is a freelance wood carver and graphic artist. The artist can be called a "boarder crosser" for many reasons. For one, she travels back and forth between her two homes and workplaces - Amalienhof and Fürstenwerder, as well as between her tools - chainsaws, paper cutting scissors and wood carving knives. She forms the basic shape of her wooden sculptures using the rougher tools and uses here very active paper-cutting scissors for the finer ones, telling a complete story.
