Frank Suplie is at home in nature, especially where the sea meets the land. Entirely in the tradition of plein air painting, he heads off with his palette and easel to paint on site under the open sky. The outdoors are his arena for exhibiting his work.

Painting courses are regularly held at the village gallery in Groß Dölln am Rande. The courses always run for one working week. Egg, oil, water and pigment: they sound like the ingredients for a baking recipe but are in fact the components of one of the most beautiful and durable painting techniques of all.

The following activities are also offered on an irregular basis: Themed exhibitions, home cinema, literature and music events

Dorfgalerie im Saal participates in the Brandenburg open studios event, which takes place every year on the first weekend in May.
