This listed 19th century stable building is located in the middle of the village, below the church. It houses a swap shop and an exhibition space that combines a variety of interests. Every family in the village that provides an exhibit to the village museum is involved in determining its thematic content. In addition to temporary exhibitions about village life, guest artists and guest curators are invited to broaden the spectrum.

The building:

The structure is determined by four rooms, with four entrances and exits. Three rooms can be used independently of each other.

One room houses the swap shop, where goods, requests, ideas and information are submitted and collected. The swap shop is open every day and can be accessed free of charge.

The museum occupies half of the stable building. Here, the basic exhibits are provided by the village. Each family is to donate or lend at least one item. Selection is based more on personal value than historical value. The original exhibition was intended not just as a reminder of times gone by: it also sought to present a picture of the village today. Like village life itself, the exhibition has to be changeable and provide space for guests (guest exhibitions). As such, the furniture is designed to be movable.
