The tour starts at the town information centre on Marktberg. After just a few steps, you can enjoy your first impressive view of St Mary’s Church. The route continues past the statue of Luther and on to the city gate structure “Mitteltorturm”. Here we cross the road and walk towards the town wall. We follow the town wall to get to the Dominican monastery and the associated museum. This is the perfect opportunity for a short visit or for taking a break at the monastery café. We walk on past the town hall. Here we cross the road once again to continue towards the town park. We walk through the park from where we can see the town wall, until we reach the Hexenturm (witches’ tower). Here we leave the park and continue in the direction of the city centre. We reach our starting point at the town information centre after about 500 metres.

There is a public guided tour at 11 a.m. on Saturdays (May until September). Meeting point: Town information office Prenzlau

Individual guided tours are also available subject to pre-booking.
