The guided hike into the nature development area of the World Natural Heritage Site “Grumsin Beech Forest” is an outstanding experience. Guided by an expert, visitors can train their awareness of the impressive copper beeches and mysterious swamps in this breathtaking virgin forest under development. Sure-footedness and sturdy shoes are a must!

Dear visitors, We are dedicated to protecting the forest. We would therefore like to point out that hiking in Grumsin forest is not possible at wildfire risk level 5. Our nature rangers will arrange for a comparable or similar alternative programme, as far as possible. We would like to apologise for any inconvenience, in the event that we cannot arrange for an alternative.

Available all year. Guided hike lasting about 4 hours. Up to 15 participants. Available every 2nd and 4th Saturday of the month.
