The second stage of the Märkisch Overland Trail covers 15 kilometres from Kolbatzer Mühle to the rafting town Lychen. Passing along Fauler See, the trail leads to Küstrinchenbach, one of Brandenburg’s clearest and most beautiful streams. The route now follows the stream all the way to Oberpfuhlsee and Lychen.

Start: Kolbatzer Mühle / Finish: Lychen

How to get there: Take the RE5 (Rostock) to Fürstenberg/Havel from Berlin central station (Hauptbahnhof). From here take bus no. 517 (Templin) to Lychen. Finally take bus no. 505 to Kolbatzer Mühle (about 3 hours).

Return journey: From Lychen take bus no. 517 to Fürstenberg/Havel. Continue from here by taking the RE5 (Elsterwerda) to Berlin central station (Hauptbahnhof) (about 1.5 hours).

Route: Kolbatzer Mühle, Fauler See, Lychen
