A part of the route goes along lake shores, and some of the time the lakes’ water can be seen glistening in the distance, as the trail passes the pine and beech forests that are typical of the Mark region. There is a long stretch on which the route does not coincide with any towns or villages, so hikers can enjoy uninterrupted nature. The stage’s destination Ringenwalde is famous for its regional venison specialities. The church and the castle grounds designed by Lenné and featuring the boulder Riesenstein are worth visiting.
