Going north from Angermünde, the trail passes fields and small villages. The destination of this stage is reached walking along the old railway embankment that allows for views of the Welse plain. Biesenbrow is the birthplace of the writer Ehm Welk. His book “The Heathens of Kummerow” was inspired by the village.

How to get there: Take a regional or long-distance train from Berlin central station (Hauptbahnhof) to Angermünde (about 1 hour).

Return journey: From Biesenbrow take bus no. 450 or the RufBus operated by Uckermärkische Verkehrsbetriebe (after 6 p.m. and at the weekend) to Angermünde train station. From here take a regional or long-distance train to Berlin central station (Hauptbahnhof) (about 1.5 hours).

Route: Angermünde, Dobberzin, Mürow, Breitenteicher Mühle, Ziethenmühle, Biesenbrow
