Spend an unforgettable holiday in a covered wagon that is pulled by a gentle giant. Wake up in a new place every morning and enjoy the beautiful Uckermark. The spacious wagons are equipped with four beds and a kitchenette. Our heavy horses are trained carriage and riding horses. Following a detailed instruction session about handling the horse and the wagon, you are ready to leave our farm in Friedenfelde. No previous experience is necessary. In the wagon you will find: Tableware, cutlery, pans, pots, cooking utensils, hand brush, sponge and cleaning cloth, washing up liquid. Bed linen, pillow and blankets are also provided (you should bring a sleeping back in the colder months).

There is lighting powered by a 12 volt battery, a cooker with a gas cylinder and drinking water. We recommend bringing the following personal items:
  • Sturdy hiking shoes
  • Picnic blanket
  • Rain protection (rubber boots for children)
  • Torch
  • Sun and mosquito protection!!!
  • Pocket medicine case
  • Cooking grid
  • Towels
  • Camping chairs
  • MOBILE PHONE (to call the farm in case of any problems along the way)


Use backpacks or duffel bags for your luggage, as suitcases are difficult to stow away in the restricted space of the wagon.

Further activities

Day trips with a horse-drawn carriage: The day trip starts with an instruction session about handling the horse and the carriage (about 1.5 hours). You can choose between three different routes for your independent carriage tour. Your short visit to the farm in Friedenfelde near Gerswalde ends at around 6 p.m.

Price: Euro 90 per carriage for up to 6 people

Hiking with a horse: Forget about everyday life and fall in love with heavy horse lady Liesje and her big gentle eyes.  She will carry your luggage and your children on your little hiking adventure in the beautiful Uckermark.
