The former school building and the blacksmith’s shop opposite have been set up as a local history and school museum with many interesting and impressive exhibits. The project that was first initiated in 1986, could be realised thanks to great attention to detail, meticulous care, hard work and great support from residents of the town and the local region. The bigger exhibits are shown in the large technology hall at the end of the village: agricultural machines, tractors and vehicles.

Many big and small tools, work equipment, accessories and machinery related to rural life, farming and crafts of past decades and centuries are presented in multiple rooms of the museum, the old blacksmith’s shop and the technology hall.

The Museum Schönermark regularly takes part in two annual events: International Museum Day and Brandenburger Landpartie.
