The Wasserburg castle is still the perfect example of a 13th century fortress.  It contains many traces of a typical medieval building, plus an accessible castle keep and finds from excavations in the great hall that tell us more about this historic fortress. Couples can get married today beneath the well-preserved vaults of the castle cellars.

The rooms can also be hired for family celebrations. Within the historic walls, carefully curated exhibits in the Gerswalde Local History Museum and the Fishery Museum tell us about life in the past 100 years. There is also a new exhibition on the subject of bees and bee-keeping. Natural hiking trails along the mill channel to the on-site lake nearby offer a chance to relax, recover and enjoy nature. Events are held at the Wasserburg all year round.

Tip:  One- to two-hour guided trips can be booked (by agreement)
