In the north-east of Brandenburg, just over an hour from Berlin, in the direct neighbourhood of Poland, lies the Uckermark. With a surface area of 3,077 square kilometres, it is one of the largest districts in Germany. Since only around 120,000 people live in the Uckermark however, this area is one of the most sparsely populated regions in Germany, too – ideal conditions for peace, quiet and relaxation in a natural setting at any time of year.
