The Flößerverein Lychen rafters' association is keeping the old rafting tradition alive by organising rafting trips and recounting tales about the time when this heavy and exhausting work was carried out on the lake. Most raftsmen at the time couldn't swim, which meant "each step had to be taken very carefully!"
