An old warehouse has been converted into a little summer theatre with a raised stage and old-fashioned bench cinema seats. It is far from finished. There is still a lot to do, because the Kulturgärtnerei cultural centre in Hohenselchow survives solely on donations from the public and on the hard work of the actors and friends of the theatre.

The independent Senfkorn theatre group is attracting a wider audience all the time. The amateur group has been performing between Gartz/Oder and Casekow for 11 years, and an association was established in 2015. Each year, it performs a comedy in the summer, with around 10 performances, and a shorter play in Advent.
