Theatre by children and teenagers for children and teenagers - this is the club’s primary mission. This year before Christmas, the children´s ensemble is performing the fairytale "The Wolf and the Seven Little Goats" by the Brothers Grimm, whose stories are known all over the world. Our youth ensemble will be performing “Shakespeare’s Greatest Hits”, which reduces Shakespeare’s most famous tragedies to their bare minimum with lots of humour.

THEATER Stolperdraht was founded in 1990. We are an approved youth welfare organisation and member of the Brandenburg Amateur Theatre Association. Every Christmas, our kids are on stage as popular fairytale characters. They rehearse their Christmas fairytale all year round with tremendous love and diligence, and their greatest reward is the delight and wonder of theatregoers as they watch the performance. Our kids are welcome guests at children’s facilities and festivals throughout the region with their short children’s plays in summer and at Christmas. Our youth ensemble also puts on at least one new play each year. These are chosen based on topics that primarily concern young people and are intended to make the audience think. The club is also home to two dance groups, a black light theatre group, Primania Karnevalsklub Schwedt and the girls' club.

There are also many opportunities to get involved behind the scenes: whether its make-up, set building, costumes, lighting or sound - anyone who is interested in theatre can find something to do - either on or behind the stage.
