Family weekend in Bad Liebenwerda and the surrounding area

The modern ‘TraumHaus’ hotel in the ElsterPark in Herzberg/Elster blends harmoniously into the Black Elster river landscape. All family flats are spacious and offer a high level of comfort. On the extensive hotel grounds, guests can discover the nature trail or spend time doing archery. The ‘BlauHaus’ restaurant serves tasty treats for the whole family. On a trip to the spa town of Bad Liebenwerda, ‘Kaspers Welten’, a family-friendly hands-on museum, invites to get to know the funny character Kasper. Here one can find out more about the everyday life of puppeteers and the world of fairgrounds.

Afterwards, it is time to treat yourselves with pizza from the Italian restaurant or snack on ice cream. The next day, a fun family outing awaits you at the Kiebitz bathing lake in Falkenberg. There's lots of fun in and around the water here, with a maze and mini golf. Alternatively, you can visit the imposing Doberlug Castle. A great playground and the interactive exhibition ‘erlebnisREICH Naturpark’ invites you to explore.

Additional barrier-free services

What else you can do

Take a tour of the lovingly restored town centre with its 800 years of history. From the market square with the town hall, past our town's landmark, the Lubwart Tower, to the beautiful spa gardens. Completely barrier-free. You can let off steam at the Wonnemar thermal and adventure pool.

There is also plenty to experience in the area surrounding Bad Liebenwerda. The Elster-Natoureum in Maasdorf is an absolute must for all nature and technology enthusiasts. Or the ‘lying Eiffel Tower’, an impressive former overburden conveyor bridge in the Lusatian lignite mining area. The ‘LOUISE briquette factory’ in Domsdorf still impresses today with its original steam engine and press technology.
