We have chosen Werneuchen as the starting point but you can of course start your pilgrimage in Bernau. There are many Ways of St. James throughout Europe since the 12th century, all of which lead to Santiago de Compostela in Spain. We start the pilgrimage journey in Werneuchen and take the Way of St. James, which runs from Frankfurt/Oder straight to Bernau. Churches can be viewed and artworks marvelled at along the route, which is about 17 kilometres. Follow the information panels and signs with the scallop symbol.
