The Prignitz-Museum in the historic rooms of the monastery by the cathedral in Havelberg is divided into a number of exhibition areas. Its wide range of tours and educational offerings, lectures and concerts make the museum a cultural hub of the region. Thanks to the child-friendly design of the exhibitions, the museum is a great destination for a memorable day out with all the family. In addition to building blocks and colouring tables, there are stations allowing for hands-on learning. Children can, for example, build an archway, to learn about its statics in a playful way.

One part of the exhibition is dedicated to the history of the cathedral, another to settlement history from the stone age via the Slavonic era, through to the region’s colonisation in the more recent past. Finally, there is an exhibition area about town history featuring some lively displays, such as a 1960s living room.

Tours and educational activities are available by arrangement.
