This tour takes you through idyllic villages, woods and meadows. Its starting point is the sculpture of the “Black Woman” on the village green in Massen. You cycle through the forest and via Lindthal, Rehain, Göllnitz and Dollenchen to Sallgast, whose centrepiece is the 12th century moated castle. The spacious castle grounds were created around 1880. Today, Sallgast castle accommodates a registry office and a local history museum. The tour continues to Lichterfeld and its F60 visitor mine. You will simply have to take a tour on the steel colossus, which is 502 metres long, 202 metres wide, 80 metres high and weighs 11,000 tonnes.
