The 61-kilometre cycle path connects the Oder with the Havel. The path starts in Oranienburg. You will pass through stunning forest and lake areas and finally get to the little town of Liebenwalde. Here, there is a connection to the Berlin-Copenhagen Cycle Route. You then follow the 400-year-old Finow Canal all the way to the Niederfinow boat lift. The route ends in Hohensaaten, where there is a connection to the Oder-Neiße Cycle Path.

How to get there:
  • Train: Take the RE5 regional express train from Berlin central station (Rostock) to Oranienburg and then continue by bike to Liebenwalde (about 1.5 hours)

Return journey:

  • Train: Take the RE3 (Stralsund) from Berlin central station to Eberswalde and from here to Bad Freienwalde. Then it is another 13 kilometres from Hohensaaten to Bad Freienwalde. Take the RB60 regional express train to Eberswalde, then take the RE3 regional train to Berlin central station (about 2 hours).
