Marco Döring and his life partner Britta have been running the ostrich farm in Angermünde for four years now. They painstakingly reclaimed the site and created enclosures that are suitable for the ostriches yet surprisingly attractive. Now, the 4 hectare landscaped site is home to four breeding groups, each consisting of 1 rooster and 2-3 hens, a group of animals for slaughter, a trio of rheas and a couple of emus, not forgetting the two Swiss mountain dogs Herrmann and Abby.
Visitors are always welcome to come and see the ostrich farm for themselves, where they can learn all about the animals and browse in the farm shop. Children and grandchildren can let off steam on the play equipment or build sandcastles in the sandpit.
