Surplus seeds are given to interested garden owners and hobby gardeners. The seed potato season begins in spring from the end of March. On ‘Pflanzkartoffeltag’ (seed potato day) (end of March/beginning of April), rare and special potato varieties (organic seed potatoes) are given away.

From May 1, young tomato plants and organic plants can be purchased.

At our show and propagation garden in Greiffenberg, you can experience the diversity of vegetables, grains, herbs and ornamental plants and learn about preserving and propagating old and rare cultivated plants. We propagate seed from many hundreds of varieties here every year. As a non-profit association, we have been committed to preserving and propagating rare cultivated plants since 1996.

Visitors can seek advice after a walk around.

Activities: Garden tours upon request, seed courses, seminars and workshops.

The seminar house with its open-hearth kitchen is to open in 2020.

Dates:

End of March/beginning of April: Potato Day.

May 1: Tomato day & Courtyard market

Middle of August: Summer festival with tomato exhibition and tasting
